XP points are converted into promotions that lead to newer and better equipment that can be used by players. When taking cover, perspective is switched to a third-person one which in turn enables you to use suppressive fire. It also brings the Terrorist Hunt mode and the multiplayer co-op has been reduced from 8 players to 4.
The game acts as both a prequel and a sequel for the precious game and comes with both single player and multiplayer modes.
